Poorna Gajjar is a nurse at St. Jude Hospital since 2000. She is currently working with the Department of Nursing Research on Quality of Life and End of Life research projects for children with cancer. She got her Bachelor of Nursing degree from University of Memphis.
In keeping with her interest in women’s and children’s issues she has been involved with the Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis and currently serves on the board. Her interest in youth has found her involved with the Youth Program of ICFGM and she has been a Sunday School teacher working with teenagers for the last several years.
In her spare time she loves to read and do gardening. She, her husband and three daughters, Radha, Meera and Shimul, have been a part of the Memphis community since 1989. Her husband Amar also works at St. Jude Hospital.
